Notes

Women's Competition

• Ecaterina Szabo (ROM) vaulted a tucked full-twisting Tsukahara and performed a Tkachev on bars.  

• Elena Shushunova (URS) fell off beam twice.

• Valentina Shkoda (URS) had problems landing her vaults.

• Anja Wilhelm (FRG) vaulted a full twist on, 1 1/2 twist off.

• In event finals, Szabo attempted a tucked full-in dismount from beam.  On floor, her opening pass was a full-in to immediate flip-flop.

Men's Competition

• Dmitri Bilozerchev (URS) performed a Tkachev, Gienger combination on high bar.

• On pommel horse, Bilozerchev ended with flairs to a handstand dismount.

• Laszlo Boda (HUN) vaulted a one-arm handspring front.  He also performed a double back somi in the rings.

• On high bar, Frederic Longueppe (FRA) performed a one-arm giant to Deltchev.
