That could not be less true,....
Its about sportsmanship and the world coming together.

I noticed that it was bandaged
during compulsories. Did she have an injury
before?

NBC coverage/women's gymn.
NBC's coverage
has truly been atrocious. They show
a lack of
journalistic integrity as well as a lack
of respect for the other
gymnasts. To ignore the best athletes in favor of
Shannon taping her
wrists, etc. is a prime
example. It just proves how feeble
NBC Sports
is compared to the great ABC Olympic
coverage -- and even the
respectable Verne
Lundquist at CBS. In place of
Jim McKay, they give
us the ridiculous, babbling,
completely uninformed John Tesh. We
suffered
through his inane comments in Barcelona -- now they force him
on us again?
NBC, get your act together!!
These are accomplished
WOMEN out there who deserve respect -- such
as more coverage, in terms
of the foreign
gymnasts, and also recognition as FEMALE ATHLETES, not
"dancing little girls," "little painted
birds", etc. Tesh is an idiot.
