RSG Europeans
Much thanks to Debbie for posting the results of the
RSG
Europeans. You certainly
made my day.
Here are some comments about the results:
Based
on the Serebrianskaya's performances the past season,
I pretty
much expected her to win the title. Although originality may not be
Serebrianskaya's forte, she is certainly consistent.
My
pick for the best comeback of the year goes to Tatiana Ogrizko.
Most
disappointing: Lukyanenko
and Vitrichenko.
Vitrichenko seems
stuck
in 6th place. As for Luky, well fans, what can I say. All we
can
do for her is hope for the best.
To PJ: Hmmm interesting toss element(a
toss of the clubs towards the
judges). And what elements would she perform
underneath this toss, a
triple roll perhaps---and
out of bounds too.

RSG-Vitrichenko clubs
Debbie mentions that L'Equipe attributes Vitrichenko's
poor placement
due to a "mediocre
presentation of clubs".
I think something got lost in the
translation here. As far as I
know, mediocre means dull right? If her clubs routine was so
"dull"
than how would they explain her
bronze medal in this apparatus?
IMHO Vitrichenko
displays the most difficult clubs routine of all the
top
ten gymnasts today. My guess is
that she had a drop which can
immediately
put one out of the running especially in a very
competitive
field.
