Elfi was born on May 17, 1964 and trained at
the Xoces-Eagle Club in Toronto with coaches Mary Lee and Geoff Palmer.
She had a successful career as an NCAA gymnast, competing for the University of
Florida, and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 1997. Today she works
as a commentator for NBC.
