One quick word about the commentary:

As compared with competitions of just a few years ago ('93), it seems as if
people have complained about the over-commentating of commentors during
individual performances. (I remember one meet where Kathy Johnson seemed to
keep on talking). So, although there may be some more work to be done as far
as commentating, they've come a long way.. : )

well, josh stine made number eight.
why wasn't he made the alternate like in all the other worlds and
olympics? I think he deserves it. yes their suposed to be competing
seven, but still if anything happens, they need that alternate.
besides that, the competion was very exciting.
katrinka

don't they compete 6 with the top 5 scores and the seventh is the alternate?

6) Bela seemed really conservative about Moceanu's condition. I bet he
knows that she won't be going. It was nice to see him 'into' Kerri
though.

since when isn't Moceanu going?  Last thing I heard she was.

Unrelated question:  Why did Doni Thompson retire?

she said that worlds was the same as the olympics so, making that was just as
good to her.  she had reached her goal.

I second that! Amanda is also one of my favorite gymnast, I'm so happy
that she will be going to Atlanta.  Boy! The Trials really send my heart
racing, I'm glad that's done now.

I like to give my deepest respect to all the gymnasts who competed
at the Trials, IMO all of them are Olympian, they all work so hard and
they all got the spirit of the Olympics.  Congrats to those who has made
it, I wish them the best.

Go! Amanda! and Vanessa for 2000!,
Thomas
